West Maui Mountain Tour

Fully guided van tour of West Maui Mountains.

Travel the scenic northern route through Honolua
Bay, Nakalele Blow Hole and Kahakuloa Village.

Hike into a tropical jungle of bamboo, ferns,
guava and mango trees.

Swim in a mountain stream at the base of
two cascading waterfalls!

Mountain Ridge Hike

Maui’s unique native plants, rainforest,
birds and exceptional views of Wailuku and
Waihee Valley are special features of
Hawaiian Hiking’s Mountain Ridge Hike.

A great aerobic workout. Elevation gain of
1,400 ft. in 2 1/4 miles!

The lower portion of the trail consists of
Cook Pine, Sydney Blue Gum, Brush Box
and Queensland Maple. The number of
native species increases with elevation as
mesic forest is replaced by wet forest.

Maui’s endemic birds, the Apapane and
Amakihi are often seen in the ‘Ohi’a trees.

Fantastic panoramic views from our picnic
table at the 2,600 ft. elevation approaching
Puu Kukui Peak.

Time: Daily - 8:30am to 1:30pm
Distance: 4.5 miles
Level: Moderate - Strenuous
